摘要

THEY are passionate, informed, connected and ready to fight for the industry they love. But two dairy Young Farming Champions (YFC) from different backgrounds on the New South Wales South Coast also know they face huge challenges in their fight to keep the best traditions of dairyfarming alive amid milk-price cuts, accelerating technological change and a broader community disconnected from the reality of farming.Twenty-five-year-old Tom Pearce, of Bega, and 23-year-old Jessica Monteith, of Berry, became two of Australia's latest dairy YFC after involvement in the Art4Agriculture program.
