摘要

The special issue Energy Storage and Conversion: Materials to Application covers a total of 32 papers addressing materials and related issues from solar cells to energy efficiency, with a major fraction of contributions concentrating on novel materials for batteries, supercapacitors, fuel cells and their related topics. The special issue also includes five review papers, namely on (i) Perovskites as a path to developing highly efficient solar cells, (ii) Pt-based nanocatalysts for hydrogen generation from the hydrolysis of ammonia borane, (iii) Utilization of metal hydrides for thermally driven hydrogen compression, (iv) Transition metal oxide electrodes for pseudocapaci-tors and (v) P2-type cathode material for Na-ion batteries.Most of the papers in this special issue were presented at the fifth International Symposium on Materials for Energy Storage and Conversion (mESC-IS), held online between 14 and 18 September 2021.
