Employers do benefit from allowing staff to gain work experience through international travel, according to Andrew Wellington, the powder production supervisor for Murray Goulburn. Using the 2004 Joe Czulak Award and the 2005 Australian Dairy Manufacturing Scholarship, Mr Wellington undertook a study tour of dairy manufacturing and processing in Ireland, England, Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands and Belgium.
