The effect of agricultural rental relationship on the distribution of Egyptian agricultural holdings.

This study shows that the number of owner-operated farms and their total farm area in Egypt have increased during the period 1989/90-1999/2000, while the number of rented farms and their total farm area have decreased during same period. The study also shows that the number of small farms has increased in all holder types during the same period. Recommendations are presented to increase the land resource efficiency..
