摘要

A closely watched forecast of floating offshore wind energy capacity installation has been scaled back for a second time in a year due to a dip in the rate of offtake agreements as well as permitting issues. The biannual Floating Offshore Wind Report, published on Monday by TGS-owned offshore wind research specialists 4C Offshore, predicts that 12.4 gigawatts of global floating wind capacity will be operational or under construction by 2030, increasing to 39 GW by 2035.Between 6 GW and 7 GW of the 12.4 GW of floating wind capacity is expected to be operational by 2030.The forecasts for floating wind capacity that will be operational or under construction globally are down by 1.8 GW for 2030 and 6.4 GW for 2035 when compared with the same floating wind report released in the final quarter of 2022.
