Lend Lease has moved into Australia's first five star energy rated office building, 30 The Bond, Sydney, in a move that symbolises a new era for the company. Lend Lease conceived and developed the building with the aims of delivering one of Australia's most environmentally friendly buildings and providing a leading workplace to help retain and attract the best staff. Eight floors of the Deutsche Office Trust owned building are occupied by Lend Lease. For those who doubt that green buildings are really cost effective, the Bond is a glowing example that there need be no cost premium in going green and that the running costs of green buildings lead to substantial savings in just months of operation.
