摘要

Falls from heights are the biggest killer on Australian construction sites. In 2003, 18 workers in Australia and New Zealand were killed as a result of falls from heights and many more suffered serious injuries. The construction industry also records the highest injury rate of falls in the workplace, with 22 falls per 10,000 workers in Victoria alone - almost six times the average rate for all industries combined, according to a report from the Victorian WorkCover Authority. Prompted by growing workplace safety concerns, leading Australian manufacturer Bailey has developed a range of superior quality aluminium and fibreglass platform stepladders and mobile aluminium scaffolding units designed to provide the optimum level of safety for people required to work at heights.
