摘要

In the liquid-solid composite process to fabricate bimetallic AlSi9Cu3/6061 alloy, oxide film on the solid 6061 alloy could hinder the metallurgical bonding and form cracks on the interface between AlSi9Cu3 and 6061 alloys. The present studies indicate that, in the liquid-solid composite process, ultrasonic vibration applied on the solid 6061 alloy could break the oxide film through ultrasonic cavitation, consequently promote the contact and wetting between liquid AlSi9Cu3 and solid 6061, resulting in a metallurgical bonding. The metallurgical bonding is characterized by a 160 mu m transition layer, in which Cu and Mg distributed with opposite composition gradient.
