Leaders of the US and the UAE emphasized on Nov. 2 their interest in “stabilizing the global energy market” and boosting investments in renewables, a day after the two countries inked an agreement to mobilize $100 billion into global clean energy projects by 2035. UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed and his US counterpart Joe Biden held a virtual meeting on Nov. 2 and discussed energy issues, the White House and state-run Wam news agency said. “Both leaders also shared their common interests in stabilizing the global energy market and in increasing their investments in renewable energy, and pledged to deepen their close cooperation,” Wam said on Nov. 2.
