摘要

This invention allows the user to select a user defined State of Charge (SOC) for the on-board high voltage battery. This would enable the user to freely use the onboard stored energy of the high voltage battery up to the user defined SOC. During this time an algorithm would monitor the state of charge and compare it to the requested state of charge. Once the requested limit is reached the vehicle would shut down the high voltage system. This would maintain the user defined SOC within the high voltage battery. The Range Saver Selector would be integrated into the vehicle information tools (navigation, traffic data, GPS, etc..) to make the prediction of the required. This value would be continually updated based on the vehicle information to make corrections to the requested SOC as needed.
