Electrophoretic analysis and immunological characterization of Staphylococcus aureus isolated from chicken meat.

摘要

This work presents an investigation of the S. aureus of poultry meat sold on the manual processing shops located in Assiute Governorate. Bacteriological analysis was performed on 80 samples of fresh poultry meat for the presence of S. aureus, the isolated percent of the organisms was 47.5, while coagulase positive S. aureus was detected in 27.5% of the tested samples. Also the organisms was counted, the mean count was 28.5x103+or-38.8 CFU/g. The results obtained demonstrated that the protein profile and immunoblotting of the S. aureus antigen isolated from raw chicken meat was characteristic and helpful in the diagnostic procedure.
