The editor of Australian Dairy Foods (ADF), Chris Greenwood, opened the Tasmanian DIAA conference with some observations of the dairy industry's past and the role the DIAA could play in its future. He said he was sure he was not alone in lamenting the inability of the Australian dairy industry to rationalise to form a dominant Australian-owned dairy processor.
