摘要

We thank Moshirfar and Basharat for their interest in our study. They were concerned about the clinical characteristics of some eyes, definition and ascertainment of the epithelial ingrowth (EI) outcome, and surgical technique. In our study, 2 cases had unsuccessful flap relift. One case had a flap created with the femtosecond laser 20 years before the enhancement surgery. The flap edge was not visible under slitlamp during preoperative examination, and therefore, the surgeon decided to perform a flap recut instead of relift. No EI developed after 3 months post-operatively. The other case had a flap created with mi-crokeratome 12 years before the enhancement surgery. The flap could not be relifted despite a visible flap edge, and therefore, the surgeon switched to perform a flap recut. No EI developed after 1 year postoperatively.
