SNC-Lavalin awarded contracts for work on U.K.'s STEP program

SNC-Lavalin has been awarded three new contracts by the U.K. Atomic Energy Authority to continue work on Spherical Tokamak for Energy Production (STEP), a program to design and build a commercial-scale fusion energy plant. The value of the contracts was not disclosed. Under the contracts, SNC-Lavalin will provide engineering services and strategic advice to UKAEA, drawing on its global nuclear and fusion energy expertise and long-standing involvement with the STEP program.
