摘要

In this letter, a novel one-dimensional supramolecular polymer has been successfully constructed from 4-(4-(1-benzyl-pyridinium)styryl)-1-methyl-pyridinium chloride (BPSMP) guest molecule and a host CB[8] depending on the host-guest interactions which was characterized by NMR, electronic absorption, ITC, DLS, ESI-MS and fluorescence spectroscopy. Interestingly, the supramolecular polymers could transform into synergistic covalent and supramolecular polymers when irradiated with visible light, from irreversible polymerization of a preorganized supramolecular polymer through cucurbit[8]uril (CB[8])-controlled [2+2] photodimerization.
