1. The Fujairah Port Authority in the UAE has taken on Sustainable Water and Power Consultants to carry out engineering services for the development of a new 2,500m~3/d desalination plant to serve the port on the west coast of the UAE. 2. Tunisia's Ministry of Agriculture is seeking consultants to help with the preparation of its 2050 Vision and Strategy for the Water Sector. The consultants will assist with stakeholder engagement and help identify priority projects to implement the strategy. The submissions deadline for expressions of interest was set at 12 November. 3. Finnish company Solar Water Solutions (SWS) has received a loan from Nordic Environment Finance Corporation (NEFCO) to finance its expansion. The financing will notably cover working capital costs for manufacturing, delivering, and installing ten water treatment units in Guelmim Oued Noun, a region in southern Morocco.
