DQ Carbon to build Li-ion battery anode plant

Chinese trading company DQ Carbon (DQC) has signed an initial agreement in late September with the Liaoning provincial government to build a lithium-ion battery anode plant in the province’s Fushun city. DQC will invest 1.7bn yuan ($238mn) in the plant that has a designed capacity of 160,000 t/yr of anode materials. The frm has not disclosed further details such as the construction schedule.
