POPULATION DYNAMICS OF CHILO INFUSCATELLUS (SNELLEN) IN SUGARCANE UNDER TERAI ZONE OF NORTHERN WEST BENGAL

摘要

In this study, it was observed that maximum temperature with maximum relative humidity (RH) showed highly significant positive correlation (r=0.87** and r=0.68**) with incidence of sugarcane shoot borer Chilo infuscatellus Snellen. But minimum temperature and minimum RH were insignificant in influencing its incidence. Rainfall was observed to show a negative relation (r= -0.28) with incidence.
