Cognis Shows Significant improvement

Cognis reported significant growth in both sales and operating results for 2004.In the twelve months from January 1st to December 31st,2004,the global specialty chemicals supplier posted total net external sales of 3,073 million euro (up 4.2% from the previous year).The adjusted EBITDA (earnings before interest,income taxes,depreciation,amortization and exceptional items) rose by 16.0% to 362 million euro,with a margin of 11.8% (up from 10.6%).
