Programmable Teaching Unit for the Renart-200 Hemodialysis Apparatus

A programmable teaching unit for the Renart-200 hemodialysis apparatus was developed. This unit allows medical personnel to be trained to operate the hemodialysis apparatus. The bioengineering of the hemodialysis system and the main factors of hemodialysis quality are discussed. The bioengineering system (BES) for blood clearance consists of hemodialysis apparatus, dialyzer, blood-conducting manifold, and operator [1-3] (Fig. 1). The hemodialysis apparatus is a sophisticated technical system (Fig. 2). It prepares and transports dialyzing solution and blood. These processes take place according to an algorithm compiled by the operator.
