RECENT ADVANCE ON BIOCHAR REMEDIATION OF HEAVY METAL POLLUTION IN SOIL

With the development of industrial and agricultural modernization and urbanization in human society, the pollution of heavy metals in soil caused by human factors is an environmental problem that cannot be ignored in the world. Heavy metals are mostly non-ferrous metals, which are widely used in human production and daily life. They are also accompanied by serious environmental pollution of heavy metals. This study was to review the impacts biochar remediation of heavy metal pollution in soil. Different factors are reviewed. This research demonstrated that biochar could be an effective soil amendment to reduce the health and ecological risk in the contaminated soil.
