Toyota Industries Supporting India With Leading-Edge Machinery

Toyota Industries Corporation is supporting the development of the textile industry in India with its leading-edge spinning and weaving machinery. The company has a subsidiary in India that is producing ring spinning frames. Looms are exported from Japan. In regard to the outlook of loom exports to India, Yukio Yamakita, Managing Officer and General Manager of the Sales Department, Textile Machinery Division at Toyota Industries, says that India has restarted the Textile Upgrading Fund Scheme (TUFS) to support modernization of the textile industry, but apparently this scheme has not been put into full practice yet, probably because the government notification has not penetrated to banks completely.
