Textile Exports at US8.4 Billion

According to the statistics issued by the Ministry of Finance, Japan's textile exports in 2007 were US8.43 billion on a US dollar basis, up 4% from the preceding year and turned to an increase from the leveling-off in the preceding year. On a yen basis, these exports were 992.44 billion yen, up 5%. On an annual basis, the yen was quoted at an average of 117.76 yen to the dollar and the yen weakened by nearly 1% from in the preceding year.
