Stretch fibers centered on spandex(polyurethane elastomeric fibers)have come to a period of drastic changes.While the spandex market has fallen mainly due to major increases in spandex equipment in China,restructuring of the industry has been accelerated.For spandex,the U.S.-based Invista Group having the annual production capacity of 100,000 tons is at the top of the industry,followed by the Hyosung Group based in Korea and the Asahi Kasei Group based in Japan.
