Cotton Production 10-15% Short of Target

The production of cotton will probably be 10-15% short of reaching the target of 15 million bales due to monsoons,floods and poor weather.The crop was first hit in July and August when the low lands near the Indus river in Sindh and Punjab were flooded,causing damage to 300,000 acres.Poor weather is also expected to reduce the per-acre cotton yield by 10-15% compared to the normal volume.
