Brother achieves record high sales

Brother Industries,ltd.increased its consolidated sales during aprilseptember 2003 by 3% compared to the year before to 206,758 million yen,which is an all-time high for the fiscal first half.However,operating profits plunged by 12% to 18,738 million yen,ordinary profits by 12% to 17,017 million yen,and net profits by 16% to 9,745 million yen.
