According to SanPiN, dental X-ray apparatus can be used in dentistry room located in a residential building provided that radiation safety requirements are observed for this building . This provides a methodological basis for X-ray diagnosis for dentistry at home and in other unspecific conditions. Domestic mobile dental X-ray apparatuses do not meet such requirements. In this context the main disadvantages of domestic mobile dental X-ray apparatuses are:- heavy weight (10-100 kg);- awkward special rack (wall or floor type);- high consumed electric power (>100 W);- radiation protection of patient and personnel against scattered X-tray radiation (screen, apron, etc.).It is difficult to transfer even targeted portable X-ray apparatus not only between buildings, but also within one building.
