Neural network predictive models for the identification of high-risk patients

The identification of high-risk patients and the implementation of specialized interventions to stabilize them is a promising strategy for improving clinical outcomes and treatment cost-effectiveness. However, although the strategic direction for achieving these improvements might be obvious, designing a practical program for identifying and managing high risk patients poses many challenges. This article outlines the use of neural networks to construct predictive models that can identify high risk mental health and medical patients.
