Bioscience research has never been more important, with COV-ID-19 demonstrating the critical need for fast and powerful computing resources to achieve rapid results. The possibilities for AI-driven progress are endless, from accelerating drug discovery for pharmas, to medical diagnosis and genome sequencing. Life sciences and bioinformatics (the interpretation of biological data using computational tools) rely on high-performance computing (HPC) to enhance the accuracy and speed of research. At the same time, the high costs of HPC hardware and the technology needed to capture, store and analyse huge amounts of research data have previously been a barrier for many in the bio-research sector.
