Fukuhara Industrial & Trading Co., Ltd. (head office located in Osaka) is a manufacturer of circular knitting machines, and also produces knitting needles within the group. While manufacturers of circular knitting machines usually use knitting needles made by needle manufacturers, Fukuhara ventures to produce its needles in-house. By possessing the function to develop both machines and needles, the company aims to develop products that its competitors cannot think of, according to Satoshi Uemura, President of Fukuhara.
