Japanese demand for worsted yarn is more vigorous than last year.Orders began to arrive from production districts in the second half of May,and orders for fall/winter women's textiles have come in all at once,according to worsted yarn spinners.While 2/48s yarn is staying at around 1,200 yen/kg,inquiries for fine-count yarn are strong,and 2/60s yarn prices have gone up gradually from 1,300 to 1,350 yen since May.Especially,finer counts have received "inquires beyond anticipations/7 according to trade sources.
