Russia has resorted to sending crude along the Northern Sea Route as Moscow looks to direct more of its oil to Asia ahead of an EU embargo, shipping data showed. The Vasily Dinkov tanker, which undertook the Arctic voyage, is destined for the Rizhao oil terminal in China, according to Platts cFlow ship and commodity tracking software from S&P Global Commodity Insights. The tanker loaded a 500,000-barrel crude cargo from the Russian port of Murmansk on Oct. 27, and is expected to reach the Chinese port on Nov. 17, Platts cFlow data showed.
