Scania to scale back bus and coach range

Scania is to end bus bodywork production at its Slupsk plant in Poland and discontinue production of low floor bus chassis. Announcing a reshaping of its bus and coach business, the company said the decision was made to "secure profitable growth in a changing market environment". It said the pace of market recovery from the pandemic has been slow, while competition is increasing. It also noted that upcoming legislation will require significant investment in new technology.
