In a world first, a medical honey developed in Australia has gone head-to-head with an antibiotic in a trial undertaken by the Department of Renal Medicine at Princess Alexandra Hospital, Brisbane. With this trial providing such positive results, thepossibility of medical honey being used as a standard dressing following surgical procedures has been raised.
