In the first installment of this article, (The ABK, August 2014, p. 62) we covered how to start comb honey hives in early spring from packages or by making splits from strong over-wintered hives. In this article we will discuss how to add supers for comb honey production, manage the hives during the summer and harvest the crop. Seasons have been adjusted to Australia.
