In recent years there has been a trend toward an increase in the communication channel capacity of telecommunication systems including wireless systems. This is also accompanied by communication cost reduction. In addition to technological progress in modern computer systems, these factors significantly boosted development of telemedical systems worldwide. This problem is particularly urgent in Russia, where the closest medical organization could be hundreds of miles away from the patient.
