Sustainable practices thrive in a national park.

摘要

An innovative composting programme for the development of The Presidio, a part of the California's Golden Gate National Recreation Area and the national park system is discussed. The stages of programme development are also discussed as well as thestrategies that are being employed to attain sustainability. These include improving the survival rate of transplanted native plants, applying liquid compost to the golf course, and teaching children the composting process.
