'I am Sussex and Studholm!' - Remembering Fran Simpson - 1964-2009

As we go through life we have the rare opportunity to meet certain larger-than-life personalities. Everyone who had dealings with the Sussex and Studholm Co-op Farm Store, or its livestock auction, inevitably made the acquaintance of (and was influenced by) one of those distinct personalities - Fran Simpson. Simpson passed away in November 2009 after a hard-fought battle with leukemia. She started working at Sussex and Studholm (S&S) in 1982, shortly after graduating from Sussex High School. Throughher 27-year career with S&S, Simpson literally became the public persona of the organization.
