Wow! Is this trend of record-breaking cattle prices going to end? Since my last article in May, cattle prices have continued to climb to new record-setting heights. In the past few weeks, however, there has been some easing of market prices. Let's hope the upward run on cattle markets remains for a while longer.For many, this has been a long time coming. After many years of marginal prices, it's now time to pay off accumulated farm debt or, in some cases, "time to cash out." Since the BSE crisis, the beef industry has almost been in a holding pattern. It will be interesting to see what happens next.
