Nappan hosts same-day sales and field day: Like the old saying, 'It never rains, but it pours'

Oct. 20 was a big beef day for Nappan, Nova Scotia, on both sides of the road - at the experimental farm and the beef test station. There was probably too much going on all at once; splitting an audience that might have wanted to take in both the breeding stock sales in the Maritime Beef Testing Society's sale barn and a workshop on pastures and pasture management (for sheep or cattle producers) at the farm, with speakers from Agriculture Canada and the Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia departments of agriculture.
