Sustainable pasture management and added value:Budd family adjusts from BSE to build thriving operation

We are pleased to introduce you to the Budd family's Katahdin View Farm in New Brunswick as the conclusion to our three-part series on "Unique Production Systems in the Maritimes." Nicholas Budd was one of three Maritime farmers who made presentationsto the 2015 Maritime Beef Conference in Moncton, hosted by the Maritime Beef Council. Each farmer - Vernon Campbell of P.E.I., Lance Bishop, N.S., and Nicholas Budd - was chosen to showcase the creative strategies beingused to grow their beef enterprise. We profiled Campbell in the Summer issue of Atlantic Beef & Sheep and Bishop in the Fall issue.
