As a change of pace, and in theabsence of any questions orrequests from readers, I thoughtfor this issue I would provide a briefoverview of one thousand bloodstock(Thoroughbred horse) mortalityclaims we reported on during the nineyears from 2001 to 2009 inclusive. Obviously, the analysis cannot claim tobe indicative of all bloodstock mortalitylosses in Australia, nor all of theinsured bloodstock mortality losses inAustralia. Notwithstanding, it is hopedthat it provides some information ofinterest, maybe even of use, to equineveterinarians.
