At the end of 2004,the domestic 20s cotton yarn market price rose from 44,000 yen /bale to 47,500 yen partly because of an increase of"red balance"or on-balance selling and also partly because of last-minute rush type demand factors in anticipation of the shortened number of operation days on the part of trading firms.Since the start of 2005,however,these prices moved down slightly and there is not much change from 46,500 yen /bale.
