Oil and gas companies are increasingly being targeted by climate-related lawsuits to force them to take bolder and more urgent action to decarbonize their operations, notably in Europe, a new report shows. The number of climate change-related legal cases has more than doubled since 2015 — the year in which the Paris climate accord was signed. Roughly one-quarter of the 2,002 cases recorded have been Oled in the last two years, according to the UK-based Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change (GRI).
