Textile Exports Up 14.87%

Pakistani textile product exports increased by 14.97% during July-September 2002 over the same period of the previous year. Equally impressive was their contribution to exports of manufactured items; it was 77.56%, up 7.44 points from July-September 2001. As a proportion of total exports (USus2,580 million), their contribution moved up from 64.64% to 64.90%. The Federal Bureau of Statistics reported exports of textile manufactures at USus1,670 million.
