ASF Prices Continue to Go Up

Domestic acrylic staple fiber prices are expected to continue heading upward. After falling by 3,200 yuan (USus384) from 13,800 yuan/ton (USus1,656) at the beginning of 2001 to 10,600 yuan (USus1,272) at the end of last year, ASF prices soared from 10,800 yuan (USus1,296) in February this year to 11,900 yuan (USus1,428) in March, 12,400 yuan (USus1,488) in June and to 14,000 yuan (USus1,680) in August. The increase was 32.07% since January of this year.
