The Tirupur Exporters Association (TEA), representing knits exports of nearly USus1 billion, is planning to set up a warehouse in Rotterdam. The idea is to hold duty-paid stocks of standard knitwear products for sale on a cash and carry basis to European retailers. About 40-50 exporters have shown interest in the proposal, and the Government of India has agreed to provide the necessary assistance.
