Shell Shuts US Gulf Platforms for Maintenance

Shell last week shut in fl ows from its Mars and Ursa platforms in the US Gulf of Mexico for planned maintenance that is due to last until June,the company confi rmed.The supermajor did not specify the exact volumes impacted.Both platforms were also shut in following the impact of Hurricane Ida last year.The fi elds are a key source of Mars sour crude,a grade prized by oil refi ners in the US and Asia.
