摘要

"I think it's important that the province maintain a provincial nursery," says Howard Frame, surrounded by a quarter of a million trees the size of bottle brushes. "There should always be an opportunity for people to acquire quality seedlings at a reasonable price for their woodlots." Providing those seedlings has been job one at the Strathlorne Forest Nursery since it was established in 1978. Just a stone's throw south of Inverness on Cape Breton's Route 19, the nursery has faced its share of challenges.
