In any community recovering from the loss of a major forest industry employer, the launch of a new business - especially by young, tech-savvy entrepreneurs - is likely to be viewed favorably. And it's symbolically powerful when old pulp mill infrastructure is repurposed for a promising new venture. Such is the case with two Nova Scotia companies that have formed a partnership to build prefabricated houses in a warehouse on the former Bowater Mersey Paper Company site - now known as the Port Mersey Commercial Park - in Brooklyn, Queens County.
